Nknomazi Region Map

The Nkomazi Municipality is located within the Mpumalanga Province in South Africa, and is bordered by Swaziland on the South and Mozambique to the east.

The region is faced with significant challenges, including an influx of undocumented refugees, a lack of education and resources such as food, water, healthcare and basic infrastructure. In addition, Nkomazi has one of the world’s highest rates of HIV infection.

Despite all of these challenges, however, the Nkomazi people remind us of the beauty of the human spirit within each of us by their tremendous resilience and positivity in the face of such seemingly overwhelming circumstances.
